Posted by On Thursday 28th October, the James Thompson lodge enjoyed a double celebration, not only with the initiation of Bro Andy Jobson, but also the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of being initiated into the Lodge of Bro Alf Bibby, in the Presence of APGM, WBro Gary Horstman.
Bro Alf, who is a naturally quiet gentleman, and never went through the chair of the Lodge, was very happy to be appointed to Provincial Rank, in a low key but moving Ceremony, before revealing that his father too was a member of the Lodge, and was in many respects following in his footsteps.
On the other end of the membership scale, Bro Andy joins Bro Ray Cramer as the two most recent initiates, and it is planned that they will be joined shortly by another initiate at our next meeting.
